A milestone that strengthens our purpose of generating positive impact from the inside out—environmentally, socially, and economically.
ImplementaSur has renewed its B Corp certification, a recognition granted to organizations that meet high social, environmental, and governance standards.
B Corps are part of a global movement seeking to redefine business success by measuring not only financial performance but also positive impacts on society and the environment. The certification, awarded by B Lab, must be renewed every three years through a rigorous process that evaluates transparency, governance, and sustainable practices.
This recognition reflects not only our ability to meet those standards but also a significant progress in how we operate. “Recertifying demonstrates our commitment to generating greater triple positive impact every day, from the inside out. The process allowed us to identify pending challenges and opportunities for improvement that we hadn’t considered before—and those are always welcome,” said Gerardo Canales, Director of ImplementaSur.
These challenges and opportunities are also identified and incorporated through the very exercise of belonging to the B community. Connecting with other organizations that share our vision—such as during the annual Sistema B Chile gatherings—allows us to exchange valuable experiences and reinforces the need to work collaboratively in the face of climate challenges. “For us, being part of the B community is not necessarily an end in itself, but rather a gateway into a rich and powerful ecosystem, and a tool to keep growing and creating impact,” said Ignacio Rebolledo, General Manager of ImplementaSur.
Since our first certification in 2022, we have strengthened internal governance mechanisms. We established a formal grievance and complaints mechanism and a whistleblower protection policy, continued measuring and managing our carbon and water footprint, and adhered to international standards such as ISO 14001 and the HuellaChile program.
During this period, our organizational culture has also made progress towards its consolidation: we are working on promoting gender, diversity, and inclusion policies, carried out wellness activities for our team, and encouraged sustainable practices in our offices. Our commitment is to continue along this path, ensuring harmony between our internal management and our outward mission: supporting organizations to become more sustainable and to build a just and resilient future.
