CAP: Long-Term Industrial Climate Strategy

Desde 2020, ImplementaSur asesora a Grupo CAP en la consolidación de su agenda climática, incluyendo la cuantificación de huella de carbono e hídrica, la evaluación de medidas de mitigación y la propuesta de un precio interno al carbono. En 2024 y 2025, el foco de nuestro trabajo fue el diseño, estructuración e implementación de la Estrategia Climática del Grupo, una hoja de ruta alineada con estándares internacionales como CDP, TCFD, SASB y DJSI.

Years 2020-2025

Approach and Project Implementation

In 2024, we developed a climate strategy with a 2030 horizon, defining intervention pillars, specific objectives, and performance metrics. To facilitate its implementation, we designed customized roadmaps for each company in the Group, along with monitoring systems, governance mechanisms, and training processes. In 2025, we supported the Group in executing this strategy, working at both the corporate and operational levels. We supported the consolidation of emissions inventories, the implementation of an internal carbon price, the identification of physical and transition risks, and the development of reporting frameworks aligned with the leading international standards (IFRS, DJSI, and CDP).

As a result, CAP has also achieved a sustained increase in its score in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA): 24 points between 2023 and 2024, and an additional 9 points between 2024 and 2025. The progress was particularly notable in the categories of “Climate Risk Management,” “Climate Scenario Analysis,” and “Adaptation to Physical Climate Risks.”
