Methodological strengthening and update of GHG inventory for Parque Arauco

We supported Parque Arauco in the methodological update of its corporate GHG emissions inventory, covering assets in Chile, Peru, and Colombia. This work, carried out as part of the company’s commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), improved the traceability of key data and provided technical tools to project ambitious and feasible emissions reduction scenarios.

Year 2024

Approach and Project Implementation

We calculated and validated the 2024 GHG emissions inventory following the GHG Protocol guidelines, using an operational control approach aligned with the 2022 SBTi base year commitment. Methodological improvements were incorporated, along with updated inclusion criteria and emissions factors, enhancing the traceability and accuracy of the inventory.

We also supported the projection of future reduction scenarios, analyzing year-over-year changes from 2022 and 2023 to assess progress, identify gaps, and guide decarbonization strategy development.
